Health Care
At Minnesota Adventure Camp there is a full-time registered nurse and a fully equipped health care center to care for the needs of your child. A hopsital is also located 10 miles from camp if there is a need to access further services. You can meet with the nurse in person on the day of camp arrival or by phone to discuss any medication needs, health concerns, allergies, or any other area related to the care of your child. Please be sure all mandatory health history forms are turned in prior to camp to meet your child's needs.
Food
Minnesota Adventure Camp works with the food service director from Park Rapids Area Schools to develop daily meal plans that meet Minnesota government standards for nutrition as well as portion size. We accommodate food allergies or dietary needs. The following are some examples of meals your child will enjoy at camp.
Breakfast: Meals will be served separately in each cabin and will include some of the following each morning: Pancakes, sausages, oatmeal, eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and milk or juice.
Lunch: Meals will be served in the lodge as a community and will include some of the following choices: Chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, burritos, buid your own sandwich, vegetables, fruit, milk, and juice.
Dinner: Meals will be served in the lodge as a community and will include some of the following: Hamburgers, pizza, spaghetti, chicken, vegetables, fruit, ice cream, juice bar, and milk. There will be daily snacks of a granola car or vegetables, a fruit or a yogurt with water.
Campers are allowed to bring additional snacks as there is a full kitchen in each cabin facility. Water bottles can be brought with campers and they will be encouraged to stay hydrated with the amount of activities and summer sun.
